The COVID-19 Vaccines are Safe, Effective, and Vital to Ending the Pandemic
The FDA, on the basis of the most extensive data ever produced for a medicine or drug, gave its full approval of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, also now called Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. And all three vaccines – Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – are all still available to anyone over the age of 12 under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from earlier this year. Full FDA approval of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are anticipated for later this year.
